Formed in 1999, Gunns Plantations Limited (GPL) is a Responsible Entity that operates registered Managed Investment Schemes (MIS) on behalf of investors in plantation woodlots, walnut orchards and vineyards. GPL successfully released 15 MIS between 2000 and 2009 that are located throughout regional Australia. This equates to greater than 100,000 ha of land under management and provides much needed investment and employment to regional areas. In late 2009 and early 2010, GPL also assumed the role of Responsible Entity for the Great Southern Plantations 1998-2006 forestry schemes, adding more than 120,000 hectares to its estate under management.

Conflict sub-committee

Gunns Plantations Ltd (GPL) has established sophisticated systems to deal with any corporate governance issues and any perceived, or real, conflicts on interest.

The GPL Board comprises a majority of Independent Directors. The GPL Board has established a Conflict sub-committee whose members comprise the Independent Directors (only). The Conflict Sub-committee's charter is to deal with matters of actual, apparent or potential conflicts of interest with the parent company, Gunns Ltd.
